Principal's Update

Hello students and families!

We had a fun-filled Halloween week! Thanks to everyone who got into the spirit.

Next Friday is the annual Bell Game against our rivals, the Terra Linda Trojans! We are also hosting Davidson Middle School and other local 8th graders during the day for a campus tour. These are two important opportunities for us to show off our character, integrity, kindness and just how great it is to be a bulldog to the greater SR community.

When you see an 8th grader touring the campus let's welcome them and demonstrate why this is the best school in the city. Then, during the Bell Game (and when we bring the Bell back home) let’s win with grace and positive sportsmanship to celebrate the team’s victory.

Have a great weekend!

COUNSELING UPDATES

Hi SRHS Seniors,

If you are applying to the California College system, remember the UC and CSU applications are due in 38 days on December 2, 2024. As a CaliforniaColleges.edu pilot school, you can upload your San Rafael High School transcript to save time, but should manually add any courses from other schools or programs.

Be sure to check your application against your transcript for accuracy. Notably, Algebra 2 may appear with extra letters, and US History may show as a FUEL class, both of which are incorrect. If you haven't started, these should be fixed for you. Biology from 10th grade is correctly listed as “Living Earth” (new course name) — do not edit this.

For extra support:

  • Join us for Application Fridays from 3:10-4:30 PM until December 2.

  • We will add another after school application support day on Wednesdays starting November 6, again from 3:10-4:30pm until the UC/CSU deadline. Counselors will be available for drop-in support in the CCC starting next week.

  • Feel free to make an appointment with your counselor or Laura French in the CCC (lfrench@srcs.org) if you have any questions or concerns.
