At their meeting on April 25, the SRCS Board of Education approved Joe Ryan Dominguez as the new San Rafael High School Principal!
During the rigorous selection process, Mr. Dominguez rose to the top as a passionate and accomplished educational leader with proven expertise in serving diverse populations. He leads with the belief that success is possible for each and every student, while ensuring a culture of excellence and collaboration and providing best practices to deliver a well-rounded and rigorous education. Mr. Dominguez has extensive experience working with communities of rich culture and linguistic diversity. I am confident that he has the instructional skills and personal qualities to further enrich the school community and improve student achievement in partnership with teachers, staff and families. Primary.Health is a platform that we are using to monitor, report and administer our in-school COVID testing program. As we expand our testing program and capabilities, it is important that we take full advantage of the State’s Primary.Health system to streamline and improve our processes.
If you have not already, please complete the Primary.Health registration via the customized link that was sent to you on Friday, Dec. 3. You may have received an email with the subject line of “Please register your child for Covid-19 testing at SRCS” or a text message with similar information. If you cannot locate the original custom link, you can use the general registration link here.

Glenn Dennis is serving his seventh year as Principal at San Rafael High, and twenty-seventh as an educator. This follows three years in the role of Assistant Principal at SRHS. Prior to coming to San Rafael City Schools, Mr. Dennis was an administrator in diverse high school settings across San Francisco and the Bay Area. He was Principal at Metropolitan Arts and Technology for three years and an AP at Oceana High School in Pacifica for another two years prior to that. He taught for approximately 12 years before becoming a Principal; his specialty was History, Social Studies and English.
Mr. Dennis is a Bay Area Native, being raised in San Francisco since age three. He is a proud Cal Bear, receiving both his undergraduate degree at University of California at Berkeley and his Masters in Education there as well. While a graduate student, Mr. Dennis was in the Principal Leadership Institute; his passion for administrative work was founded there and is flourishing as an SR Bulldog!

The School Site Council is the official governing body that obtains and reviews the Single Plan for Student Achievement from all school advisory committees. Meetings will be from 4:00-5:15pm via Zoom.
