Good Afternoon Bulldogs & Families!
We are only five days away from the first day of school. Many teachers returned to school today to set up their classrooms and we had a great time during Freshman Orientation showing our newest Bulldogs how to get around. A huge kudos goes out to our junior and senior Link Crew leaders who donated their time to mentor our eager 9th graders. Thanks to the leadership of teachers Ms. Verheecke, Ms. Farrell, and Dr. Sulem our freshmen are set up for success on day one!
All staff will be back on Monday for professional development (training) so the main office and counseling will be closed from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you require assistance from our main office, we will resume our normal office hours on Tuesday August 18th.
Thank you for taking the time to review this bulletin for back to school nuts and bolts.
Some key areas to note:
Student schedules can only be viewed after parents complete the data confirmation process within your parent portal in Aeries.
Student drop off should take place in the main (third street) lot. Our perimeter gates will be closed and locked beginning at 8:45 am each school day and all late students, visitors and staff will need to enter the campus via the main office to ensure a safe and secure campus.
Please keep in mind that the main lot is reserved for staff parking and the student lot requires a school parking decal beginning on the first day of school (more info below).
We are very excited for 2026-2027! See you all very soon!
Go Dawgs!

Dear SRHS Community,
Welcome back to a new school year! We hope you had a restful summer and are looking forward to a successful year ahead. We’d like to share an important update regarding our Counseling Department. As we begin the new school year, there have been some changes to counselor caseloads. These adjustments will help us balance student needs and ensure that each student continues to receive the support, guidance, and resources they need to thrive.
Please take a moment to review your student’s updated counselor assignment. Your student’s counselor will be your primary point of contact for academic planning, postsecondary and career planning, social-emotional support, and other counseling needs throughout the year. For rising seniors, we will be sending out a separate communication regarding the college application process/letters of recommendation, etc.
We recognize that changes can take some time to get used to, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding. Our counseling team is committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and we look forward to partnering with students and families throughout the school year.
In addition, the Counseling Department is working hard to finalize schedules. We will not be accepting course change requests via email. If you would like to submit a request, please submit through the Course Change Request Form. The form will be opened starting today, August 12th and will close on Wednesday, August 26th. You must be logged in to your SRCS email account to access this form.
Lastly, please remember, not all requests will be granted, so you must continue to attend your scheduled courses until you hear from your counselor. Your counselor will email you a response to your request or send a pass to meet with you.
