Hello students and families,

As we continue our planning for the next school year, I want to update you on the courses we anticipate offering. Our district recently had to make necessary budget reductions due to declining enrollment and the end of COVID-related funding. As I shared a few weeks ago, this required some difficult staffing decisions.

As always, the development of our school schedule prioritizes courses with high student demand, alignment with teacher credentials, and the overall needs of our school.

Unfortunately, due to low student sign-ups, we will not be able to offer Drama next year. However, we will continue to host theater productions as an after-school activity, including a fall play and a spring musical. We are also losing two sections of our AVID program, but we will maintain one AVID class per grade level. Additionally, we will not be able to continue our Game Design class due to low enrollment.

We will also see a reduction in our counseling department and the Bridge program, which provides a pathway for students new to the U.S. to graduate.

On a positive note, we are very pleased to be able to increase our offerings in the Construction Academy, where students are building tiny homes, adding additional sections of Photography, and maintaining all of our usual Advanced Placement course offerings.
