10/3/2025
Hello Students and Families,
Welcome to October! Six weeks of school have already flown by, and I hope our routines are well-established. This is often the time when focus can waver, so let's all stay committed to a safe and successful year.
I need your help addressing a significant safety concern I've observed regarding student behavior when arriving at and leaving campus. Specifically, I'm referring to E-bike riders and pedestrians crossing 3rd Street.
I've personally witnessed and received multiple community reports of E-bikes being driven at dangerous speeds, cutting off cars, and failing to stop at intersections. Additionally, students crossing 3rd Street are not using the pedestrian signal. Both behaviors pose a serious risk to our students, and we must do better.
In the coming weeks, I plan to meet with E-bike riders to clearly outline safety expectations, which will need to be acknowledged and followed in order to maintain the privilege of parking on campus. Students who do not properly use the crosswalk may also lose off-campus privileges.
My top priority is ensuring everyone's safety to and from school.
Thank you for your cooperation!

Summer 2025 Construction Success
What an incredible summer for our Capital Facilities team! They have been working tirelessly on numerous projects across both the Elementary and High School Districts, and tonight, we get to celebrate their successes. At the peak of their efforts, over 500 dedicated individuals were working simultaneously on our schools, investing a remarkable $14.4 million in the Elementary School District and $15.1 million in the High School District over the summer.
We are thrilled to showcase this summer's completed work at the District Office Annex, the District Office, Coleman Elementary, Davidson Middle School, Glenwood Elementary School, Sun Valley Elementary, San Pedro Elementary, Venetia Valley TK-8, Terra Linda High School, and San Rafael High School in this video.
