Attendance is a key part of every student’s success, and we are grateful for your partnership in making sure students are present and on time each day. Last school year, our overall attendance rate was 96% and while this showed many families’ strong commitment, we know we can do even better.
So far this year, our attendance rate is 96.4%, which is a good start, but we want to keep improving together. Every day in school matters. Even just a few absences or tardies can add up and impact learning. By working together, we can help give all students the best chance to learn, grow, and succeed.
For families who experience frequent challenges with tardies or absences, our School Attendance Review Team (SART) may reach out to meet and work together on a supportive plan. These meetings are designed to partner with families, understand obstacles, and help create strategies so every student can thrive. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your child makes the most of every learning opportunity.
Last, progress 1 grades are now posted in Aeries for parents and students to view. The semester is going by quick so it is important to stay on top of your grades before finals in December.
To support students who are struggling with math, reading, and academic behaviors (such as punctuality and study skills), some students may be required to stay on campus for 7th period on one or more days a week for skill-building sessions. This applies to students who do not already have a class scheduled during that time.
Affected students (and parents) will be notified by staff in the coming days. Our goal is to help all students achieve academic success and graduate.
Have a great weekend!

SR's Approach to Positive Attendance
Week of September 29
According to a new survey of more than 1,000 parents conducted by The Kids Mental Health Foundation, kids are missing school because they are exhausted, anxious, or because they claimed to feel too sick to attend—but experts say that physical symptoms in this context can often be related to mental health. Progress Reports are nto mailed home - Viewable in Aeries Parent Portal
Progress report cards will no longer be mailed home. We will continue to mail quarter and semester report cards. Students and families will be able to view all official grade marks the Friday following the end of the grade reporting period. When you log into your Aeries Portal, you will see gradebook grades to date on your dashboard. Select the class you are interested in and you will see current information about assignments and grades. Select “Grades” if you wish to see the official reporting period grades. You must complete the “Data Confirmation” process before you will have access to anything in your Aeries Portal. The Data Confirmation process must be done at the beginning of each school year and is equivalent to what used to be a paper Emergency Card. If you need to update your address, please send two to three utility bills, rental agreement, cell phone/bank/insurance statements, or a paycheck stub to the SRHS Counseling Office. The documents must be dated within the last 60 days and include the guardian name on it. If you have not completed your data confirmation yet, you will not be able to access your Aeries Parent Portal. Please complete the data confirmation process by clicking on the following link: Aeries Parent Portal: 9th - 12th Grade
