2020 Tree Lot Fundraiser ~ Cancelled

Santa BulldogAfter careful consideration, we have made the very difficult decision not to hold the Tree Lot this year.  Because of the uncertainty of the pandemic, we don't want to put our community at unnecessary risk.

Bulldog Xmas TreeWe realize this is upsetting news and wish we didn't have to make this decision.  We are grateful that WeAreSR! has graciously offered to make up some of the loss to the classes so they can stay on track with their fundraising efforts towards safe and sober grad night and prom.

More Details on Tree Lot Cancellation:

The Tree Lot team agonized about the decision to cancel Tree Lot 2020, spending many hours of their own time trying to figure out the logistics of a safe lot and talking to county health professionals. The experts provided the advice that we would likely return to another lockdown with the potential of not being able to sell the inventory of trees. If that happened, the 2021 Tree Lot would be financially jeopardized, and we would've lost money already earned by the classes from past Tree Lots, which would directly affect the Senior class this year.

Moreover, because it is very likely COVID cases will rise during the time the Tree Lot would normally be held, it would be irresponsible for us to risk exposing our community. Please understand that the team did not simply give up this year, but instead made the very difficult decision to do the right thing for our community. We know this news is very disappointing during a very difficult time for all of us. Let’s keep our focus on staying healthy and a successful Tree Lot 2021!

WreathThe Senior class will be able to sell decorated Senior wreaths this year (contact Pam Cook for more information)  We are looking forward to coming together again next year for the best Tree Lot ever!!
