8th Grade Parent Night #1 ~ November 19th via Zoom.
During this time Administrators meet with parents and students in the San Rafael High School theater to provide an overview of the programs, policies, and activities available at San Rafael High School. Spanish translation will be available.
The 2nd 8th Grade Parent Night will be held in January. During this time San Rafael High School counselors will meet with 8th grade parents to discuss the school and courses available to freshmen for their programming appointments in February and March. This will not be the same information covered at the first 8th grade parents night in November. Spanish translation will be available.
San Rafael High School counselors will go to Davidson and Venetia Valley to meet with all 8th grade students individually to review their course selections for 9th grade. Parents will receive their student’s appointment in advance and are invited to attend with their student. If parents do not attend, it is important to read and sign your child’s course form prior to his/her appointment.
The Link Crew freshman orientation and transition program is designed to both welcome and support freshmen by assigning them a junior or senior Link Leader as a mentor during this first year. This Link Leader is a responsible older student who was hand selected from a large pool of applicants and has met the qualifications of being a good role model and a positive leader on our campus. At orientation incoming freshmen will get to know one another, take a tour of campus, and get their class schedules.
