Parking & Driving Reminders:
We are in the time of year where more students are getting their drivers' license. So, a few reminders:
- The Stadium parking lot is for seniors that have parking permits only. All other students are encouraged to commute to campus by other means or park elsewhere. The remaining parking areas are reserved for staff only. Vehicles in violation may be towed.
- If you park off campus, please remember that you are subject to the policies and laws of that area. Staff, students and visitors are not permitted to park in the Montecito Shopping Center lot, in neighborhood driveways, or other businesses/private property. SRHS has no jurisdiction in off campus areas so illegally parking may also result in towing.
- We are pleased to sit in the Montecito neighborhood and we have a responsibility to be good neighbors. Drive safely, follow neighborhood traffic laws and always be kind to the residents who live near SRHS

AP Testing is scheduled May 5th - May 16th. Students signed up to take the AP tests have received regular communications though out the week via Parent Square and in Advisory regarding AP tests and how to prepare. SR’s library has very limited hours during the first two weeks of May to accommodate Advanced Placement tests. The library is closed to students May 6-16 including before school, during brunch and lunch. Students may return their books through the chute to the left of the library entrance or in the library after school. If needed, they may check out a Chromebook from the main office.
The Latinos Unidos Club at SRHS is hosting an event this Monday May 5th during lunch to help educate students on what Cinco de Mayo really is. The event is to destigmatize what 5 De Mayo actually is, not independence day and to teach students about the history. They would really appreciate any donations of cooked/donated food to contribute to the event. Please drop off any donations to the front office on Monday May 5th before 12pm.
SRHS Italian Club
Buongiorno SRHS! Grazie to ICS (Italian Community Services) for supporting the SRHS Italian Club with the prestigious John C. Riccio grant, which launched our language and cultural enrichment program—the first of its kind in San Rafael!
Last April, the Italian Club took a fun trip to San Francisco. We rode the SMART Train and Ferry, explored North Beach, and enjoyed an authentic Italian breakfast of cappuccino and croissants. We visited the Nuova Porziuncola, the St. Francis Shrines, and Washington Square. At Palazzo Fugazi, ICS Director Vyria Havernals gave us a special tour, including the historic Fugazi Theatre, once home to Beat Poets and the famous Beach Blanket Babylon.
We had lunch at Home Made Pasta, watched fresh pasta being made, and tasted delicious dishes including piadina romagnola. On the walk, we admired Coit Tower and the Transamerica Pyramid, once home to the original Bank of Italy. Special thanks to Debbie Trimble, who shared her deep knowledge of North Beach and Italian culture!
Next up? A trip to the San Francisco Opera to see La Bohème by Puccini, in collaboration with the French and Music programs. Italian Club members can sign up now!
Students - Join us! The Italian Club meets the first two Wednesdays of each month at lunch in Profe BC’s room (AD 307). Activities include beginner Italian, cooking pasta, tiramisù, playing rubo mazzetto, and learning Carnival traditions.

We are proud to nominate Teo Cristea and Arlin Guzman for the prestigious Outstanding Student-Athlete Award presented by the Marin Athletic Foundation. This award recognizes excellence across five key areas: athletic involvement, scholarship, leadership, deportment, and school/community service. |
 |
 |
Arlin Guzman brings a tireless work ethic to all she is involved in. A true student of the game, Arlin combines academic achievement with athletic excellence. Her leadership is evident in both her voice and her actions — always representing her school with class and character. Off the field, Arlin is equally committed to community involvement, volunteer efforts, and being a positive influence on campus.
|
Teo Cristea is a multi-sport athlete whose dedication, discipline, and competitive spirit have made him a cornerstone of our athletic programs.
