Senior Survey

Seniors be on the lookout for the Senior Surveys, they will be available to complete the 1st week of May 2013

College Application Process

SRHS College Night November 1st

Attention all Juniors, Seniors and your parents:

Please join us for our San Rafael High School sponsored College Night, at 7:00pm.

The event will be held at Terra Linda High School this year.

We will have presenters from UC Berkeley, College of Marin, CSU - Sonoma, and a private colleges counselor.

These presenters will give an overview of the colleges in the UC, CSU, CC, Private and out of state schools.

Learn what the requirements are for admission to these schools.

UC and CSU Application Filing Periods

UC and CSU Application Filing Periods:

October 1 – November 30, 2012 for fall 2013 admissions
 
November 1-30, 2012 for fall 2013 admissions
 
For private universities: check the individual application dates, deadlines and enrollment requirements.
 Common Application:    used for undergraduate admission to many private and out of state universities.

Autobiograohical Sketch

Requesting Letters of Recommendation /Secondary School Reports

It is your responsibility to provide all materials to your counselor by November 14th or at least 3 weeks prior to your first college application due date. 

  • Complete an Autobiographical Sketch and give a copy to your counselor as soon as possible!

Make sure that you give your counselor all required materials or he/she will not be able to submit the materials on time. Required documents usually include:

  • Secondary School Report (no transcript request necessary)
  • Midyear Report (please submit these along with the Secondary School Report)

Transcript Request

To request a transcript please complete a Transcript Request Form in the Counseling Office. Transcript Request

Seniors please remember to notify Ms. Pipkin in counseling if any of your schools are asking for Mid Year reports and transcripts, we do not automatically send these out.  Please remember that the first 3 transcripts are free, after that the remaining transcripts are $3.00 each.  Any questions please go to counseling.

Current Students:

  • The first 3 transcripts requested are free
  • All scholarship transcripts are free for current SRHS students
  • Additional transcripts cost $3 each
  • You will be billed for transcripts at the end of the school year.

Former Students:

  • Transcripts cost $5 each
  • Transcripts and enrollment records for immigration deferral filings cost $10.00
  • Payable by money order or cash only
  • Complete a transcript request form
