CODERS CLUB—Come to our meeting today at Lunch in AD309. (Snaith 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26)

FARMERS MARKET—is held every Friday after school! Bring 2 reusable bags and load up on dinner for Friday night, and breakfast, lunch and dinner for Saturday and Sunday. Be kind to your hardworking parents because this can equal food worth $50-$100 dollars a month. All SRHS students are welcome. (Bryant4/28-4/29, 5/5-5/6, 5/12-5/13, 5/19-5/20, 5/26-5/27)

BULLDOG PRIDE STUDENTS-OF-THE-MONTH--March Students-of-the-Month have been selected! They are: freshman Melissa Caballero, sophomore Kathia Alvarado, juniors Nick Tanaka and Morgan Thomas, and seniors Marvin Alonzo, Isabel Gelatti, Sandra Reyes, and Morgan Rodriguez. ATTENTION ALL BASKETBALL PLAYERS—There will be a meeting this Thursday, April 28th at Lunch in Gym I for all boys basketball players who are interested in playing this summer. We will give you information about games and practices for the summer. Meeting will be short, but important for you to be there. (Springhorn 4/25-4/28)

THERE IS A S.A.T. PREP COURSE--on Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1st from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm in our Library. Be sure to attend both days because there is different material covered each day. Sign- ups are available in the CCC and the Counseling Office. (Trimble 4/25-4/29)

SENIORS!--The Rotary Club of San Rafael is calling for applications from graduating seniors at San Rafael High School for (1) $1,500 Mario Ghilotti Scholarship for a student who shows evidence of enrollment in a construction trade school. Currently, there are no restrictions on where or what kind of trade school the school has to be. Due to counseling office by April 29. (Nichols 4/25-29)

GOING TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR A CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM, SUCH AS AUTO, OR DENTAL HYGIENIST?--Apply for a Horatio Alger national scholarship, for up to $2,500. Pell Grant eligible, have community service, have overcome adversity, and due June 1st. (Nichols 4/25-29)

IMPORTANT: AP EXAM INFORMATION--Any student who has registered to take one or more AP exam MUST attend a pre-administration session prior to taking the exam. Specifically, Pre-Admin sessions will take place during advisory on 4/26 and 4/28 in the theater. A makeup session for any student who missed either session will be held on 4/29. Pre-admin for students with the last names A-O will be on 4/26. Pre-admin for students with the last names P-Z will be on 4/28. Students will need to bring a #2 pencil to the pre-admin session. MUJERES CON PODER'S OPEN MIC NIGHT--We are SR. We are our struggle. Mujeres Con Poder is hosting an Open Mic on Friday, April 29 at 6 PM in the Bulldog Theatre. People will be able to sign up to speak, if interested, at the door and food will be sold. Bring your friends and family! (Rodriguez 4/22-4/29)

SENIORS—Prom season is right around the corner and we are having a fund raiser in association with Men’s Warehouse! For each tuxedo rented or bought and they will donate a portion of the proceeds to our Senior class! Time to get shopping! (Walters 4/22-5/13)

SOPHOMORES!--We know you didn’t get a chance to use the Zip Line in the Adventure Room last year. The PE Department is offering 2 lunch periods next/this week for you to have your chance to jump! Come to the Adventure Room at lunch on Tuesday, April 26th and/or Thursday, April 28th to use the Zip Line. See Ms. Healy with questions. (Healy 4/21-4/28)

GRADUATION SPEAKER APPLICATIONS--are now available in the Principal’s office or Senior Advisory Teachers. Applications are due back to Maria in the Principal’s office by Friday May 20th. Auditions are on Wednesday June 1st. (Rodriguez 4/20-5/4)

GUEST PASSES FOR SENIOR PROM--will be available on Monday April 25th in the Principal’s Office. They are due back by Thursday May 12th. No exceptions!! Make sure you hand in any library and text books before tickets go on sale!! (Rodriguez 4/20-5/12)

SAN RAFAEL FEDERATION OF TEACHERS SCHOLARSHIP--Seniors interested in going into the teaching profession after college are eligible for a $250 scholarship from the teachers at San Rafael High School. You must submit a 500-word essay explaining why you want to be a teacher to Mr. Winton in LA 217 by Tuesday, May 3rd to be eligible to win. Please see Mr. Winton if you have any questions. SPRING COLLEGE FAIR!--Sophomores and Juniors: you and your parents have been sent a post card invite to the free Spring College Fair at Dominican University on Wednesday, May 4th , from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Conlan Gym. More than 150 colleges, universities, technical and specialty schools, and military academies/ROTC will be represented. Avoid the registration line by pre-registering and printing your own code for selected colleges to receive your information at www.wacaccollegefair.com. COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!--Vallecito Elementary School in Terra Linda needs high school students to volunteer at their Family Fun Night on Friday, May 13th. Volunteers must be available from 5:00-9:00pm and will be fed dinner and dessert. Spend a festive evening with Vallecito students while earning five community service hours! SENIORS-DO YOU LIKE TO WORK WITH YOUR HANDS, AND ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN THE BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION TRADES?--If you are graduating, or will have a diploma equivalent, have documentation to work, and a valid Driver's License, sign up for an Orientation to the free 120-hour North Bay "TIP" Pre-Apprenticeship Course on Saturday, April 30th. Flyer in the CCC. You will need the ability to do physical work and pass a drug test. (Nichols—4/25-5/6)

SENIORS-COM’S SUCCESS SATURDAY--Are you going to College of Marin? Be sure to sign up online for their Success Saturday, on May 7th, from 8:30-12:30. You and your parents are invited to the campus orientation, tours in English and Spanish, and a Financial Aid Workshop. Most importantly, you will register for classes!! Info in the CCC. STUDENTS, ARE YOU LOOKING FOR SOME FUN VOLUNTEER HOURS?--Volunteer for the Bay Area Human Race, by setting up, breaking down, hand out water and lead the children’s races, distribute t-shirts. Pick up flyer in the CCC for Saturday, May 7th event. (Nichols—4/25-5/6)

WE ARE HOSTING THE FIRST EVER SCIENCE CAREER DAY--at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging on Tuesday, May 17, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. You will get to tour this state-of-the-art laboratory, learn about what Buck scientists are researching, and about their career path to the top! Space is limited, so pick up an application in the CCC as soon as you can. The deadline for Science Career Day applications is Friday, May 6.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN THE CCC--The summer session runs June 20 - July 25. You must be available all 5 weeks of the session. This year, all interns can receive 1.5 college units for internships. It's a great way to explore your career interests, build up your resume and rake in college units! The deadline for internship applications is Friday, May 6. (Horton: 3/16 - 5/6
