Cherry Johnson

Welcome to Ms. Johnson's Class

Hi. I'm Cherry Johnson, one of the Special Day Class teachers at San Rafael High School. I've worked with students with special needs for seventeen years now; two years as an interpreter for the hearing impaired through Easter Seals, then seven years as an instructional assistant in an SDC class at Davidson Middle School, and the past eight years as an SDC teacher (five years at Davidson and this is my fourth year at San Rafael High.)

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Dominican University in 2000, and then continued at Domincan where I obtained my Multiple Subject and Education Specialist credentials. Working with students who learn differently, which has its challenging moments, is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling pursuits I've yet to encounter ... second only to being a mom, and now Grandma!
