About the Social Studies Department


The Social Studies Department offers a program with levels in Honors, AP, and College Preparatory. The Honors/AP level includes AP United States History and Honors World History. Our students passed the College Board AP US History test with a 76% rate. The College Preparatory level includes World Geography, World History 1-2, United States History 1-2, American Government and Economics. Additional classes using SDAIE are offered in World History and United States History. In addition, an English Language Development course is offered in World Geography. The Social Studies Department is also a part of the Media Academy eXperience. This academic academy connects curriculum in 11th and 12th grade Social Studies, English, and Media Technology.
